• Emigration: /Tasmania on board the "Red Rover", 1830, England, United Kingdom. ¹ Can anyone help in finding the marriage of a Joseph DIXON to Mary Unknown.
Joseph was born about 1795 and their children appear to have been christened
at Sibsey.

I believe that Joseph age 35 and his brother William age 31 were sentenced in
1830 and transported in 1831 to Tasmania aboard the Red Rover for stealing
and slaughtering a sheep belonging to R GOSLING of Skirbeck.
At the moment I am also trying to establish where Joseph and William DIXON
were born, they were not christened at Sibsey. Although when William married
Mary HUBBERT in 1821 they are both as "of this parish" and married without
the consent of parents.

William married Mary HUBBERT, daughter of Robert HUBBERT and Mary IRELAND, in 1821 in Sibsey, Lincolnshire, England, United Kingdom.¹ (Mary HUBBERT was born on 11 Feb 1798 and died in 1862.)
