General Notes:
"Gleasona" Bungil Street Roma the third child of a family of eight - seven boys and one girl. Aubrey attended school in Roma and later Gatton Agricultural College. Aub and his brothers operated a water boring plant and he worked as a shearer. In 1953 he purchased land at Hodgson which he named "Koala". Aub and his sons cleared the land and produced prize winning crops and raised Hereford cattle. Aub was a keen cricketer and tennis player. He was a member of the founding committee of the Roma Night Rodeo, a member of the Maranoa Club and Roma Masonic Lodge and a representative of the Hodgson division of the Wheatgrower's Association. He died at his daughter's residence in Bellbowrie after suffering a heart attack aged 68 years, 11 months. He is buried next to his wife Meg (Margaret) in the Roma cemetery.
