Edward A. CABELL

Edward A. Cabell [3450.4.2.2.2.9] (9 Feb 1797 — 3 Mar 1869) studied law at the College of William and Mary. Cabell farmed land he inherited in Amherst County and married Mary Rice Garland (10 May 1804 — Sep 1893) on 14 March 1823. For many years a vestryman of Lexington Parish, Cabell was also a colonel in the county militia and a member of the House of Delegates (1839 — 41). They had seven children and were buried at their home, “Union Hill.” ![]() Edward married Mary Rice GARLAND on 14 Mar 1823. (Mary Rice GARLAND was born on 10 May 1804 and died in Sep 1893.) |
