Stamford Settlement Papers-15 October 1845. Case of Elizth Britton, 27 & one child. This widow having become chargeable to the parish of All Saints, the clerk was directed to write to Sergt Thos Britton, R. S. L. Militia, Sleaford, requesting to be informed whether he would support his grandson, and if not able so to do that he would inform this Board to what parish he belonged, in order that the widow and child might be sworn to their settlement.
