General Notes: Dear Kevin This is what it says:- Our Atmospheric photo shows Frederick Cook (1894 to 1976) and Beatrice Cook nee Shucksmith (1891 to 1964) at the rear of their house at 7 Alexandra Road, Ashby around 1958. It comes courtesy of Peter Millest of Hardy Road Scunthorpe, who says they were his grandparents on his mother's side : " I can never remember them dressing any different" Beatrice Cook, nee Shucksmith was born in Bottesford Lane, Ashby. Her brothers were Harry, Joe, Percy and Jack and her sisters Annie and Alice. Fred was born in Winterton. He had a brother Harry and sister Lily. His father having come to the town to work at the steelworks. He lived on the North Lincoln Works site in the shadow of the ironworks.
